Funeral services for Mary Joyce Patton, 65 of Arlington, formerly of LaGrange, were held Oct. 25 in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Arlington with the Rev. Jerry Scholl officiating. Burial was in the Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Patton died Oct. 23. after a courageous and dignified battle with ALS (Lou Gerig’s Disease). She was born Aug. 5, 1933 in Taylor, the daughter of Amos and Mary Pavlik . She was united in marriage with Joe Patton July 7, 1954 in LaGrange. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Surviving are her mother, Mary Pavlik of LaGrange; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Woodie Land of Navasota and Chris and Troy Pate of Arlington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Shelli Patton of Arlington and Eric and Ina Patton of Spring; seven grandchildren, Joey and Kristi Land, Sara and Katy Nicks, Emily and Eric Patton and David Pate; a brother and sister-in-law, Glenn Amos and Minella Pavlik of Austin . She was preceded in death Dec. 19,1991 by her father, Amos Pavlik and her husband (Ret/) Lt. Col. Joe Patton on June 16, 1988.
