Taylor Daily Press Taylor, Texas late 1960's Clarence Pavlicek Succumbs Today: Rites Wednesday Clarence L. Pavlicek of 1914 Meadowland died in a local hospital this morning following an extended illness. He was born November 6, 1915 in Coupland, and had lived in Taylor sine 1947. He was employed by the Rockdale Works of the Aluminum Company of America, and today, October 21, marked fives year with the Company. He was a member of the Brethren Church, a veteran of World War II, and a member of the local VFW Post. During World War II he served in the European Theatre and was awarded both the Purple Heart and the Silver Star. On March 14, 1942, he married the former Faye Honeycutt, who survives him. Services will be held Wednesday at 3:00pm at the Condra Memorial Chapel in Taylor with Brother Bill Coffman and the Rev. Henry Beseda officiating. Interment will be in the Taylor City Cemetery. Survivors, other that his wife, are two sons, Robert Wayne Pavlicek and Lanny Gene Pavlicek of Taylor and a daughter Linda Kay Pavlicek of Taylor, his mother Mrs. Ignac Pavlicek of Taylor, and a sister, Mrs. Fritz Wernli of Coupland, two brothers, Felix Pavlicek and Julius Pavlicek both of Taylor, two nieces and one nephew. Pallbearers will be Dan Legg, Billy Tyus, Dave Hart, Tommy Thiel, Donald
