Julius Pavlicek, of Route 2, Taylor, a lifelong resident of the county, died in a Temple hospital early Wednesday morning at the age of 62.

Pavlicek was born near Coupland on January 30, 1909. He was a World War I veteran and a member of the American Legion and the Taylor Brethren Church.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Elsie Wernli and a brother, Felix Pavlicek, both of Taylor, three nieces and three nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 pm from the Condra Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Henry Beseda officiating. Burial will be in Taylor City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Zimmerhanzel, Edward Beyer, Dan Kovar, Homer Voigt, Tony Malish and Alvin Machu.
