Funeral services for Ernest Joe Pavlik, 95, of Rt. 1, Weimar, were held Thursday, January 29, from St. Michael's Catholic Church, with burial in the parish cemetery. Father Charles Carolan officiated. Pavlik, a retired farmer, was a native of the Wildwood community and lived here all but the last five years of his life. He died Tuesday, Jan 27, at El Campo. Born May 10, 1891, he was a son of Frank and Anna (Wanjura) Pavlik. He married Carolina Miska on Oct. 29, 1917. She died in 1972. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Werner F. Pavlik of El Campo; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Millie Ulrich of Weimar. Preceding him in death in addition to his wife were two sons, Edwin and LeRoy; sister, Mrs Annie Berger; four brothers, Frank, Charlie, and Joe V. Pavlik all of Weimar and Adolf Pavlik of Schulenburg; and one grandson, Tommy Pavlik of El Campo.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Leroy Pavlik, Leo Pavlik, Erwin Kunz,
Jimmy Pavlik, Erwin Pavlik and Edwin Berger.
