Panna Maria-- Lucy Pawelek, 92, of Panna Maria, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002.

She was born Dec. 10, 1909, in Kosciusko, to the late Albert and Annie Niestroy Kopecki. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors: numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: husband, Edmund Pawelek; one sister; three brothers; and parents.

Visitation started 4 p.m. Friday at Rhodes Funeral Home chapel and will continue until 12 noon today. A rosary will be recited at 2:30 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Panna Maria.

Services will be 3 p.m. today at the Church, the Revs. Msgr. Frank Kurzaj and Wojciech Reisch officiating.

Burial will be at Panna Maria Cemetery. Rhodes Funeral Home, Karnes City, 830-780-3334.

Pallbearers: John W. Urbanczyk, Jimmy Urbanczyk, Alvin Pawelek, Darrel Pawelek, Clarence Biela and Adrian Kopecki.
