ADOLPH PECHACEK

A very large attendance of relatives from far and near attended the funeral of Adolph Pechacek Sr. who, at the age of 83 years died at the home of his son Otto in Houston Texas Tuesday at 1:30 a.m.

Requiem mass at 9:00a.m. Thursday was read by the Rev. A. Raska of El Campo, a nephew of the deceased in the Sacred Heart Church, who also conducted the funeral ceremonies at the grave in the Halletsville Catholic Cemetery. Our pastor Rev. A. Mathis preached a touching sermon in German.

The deceased was born in Morava, Europe, came in his early age to America, settling in Frelsburg. He married Miss Fredericka Berckenhoff and in 1890 they moved to Lavaca County near Witting. Several years ago they moved to Houston where they resided until now.

He is survived by his wife and seven children. Adolph of Yoakum, Joe near Houston, Emil in Ballinger, Otto in Houston, Mrs. Frank Grahmann in Halletsville, Mrs. Ed. Ermis in New Braunfels, Mrs. Frazer near Yoakum and many grandchildren.

Lord accept his soul to dwell in your house.

Adolph Pechack, 83, died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at his residence, 404½ Tabor.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Freda Pechack; three daughters, Miss Nettie Pechack of Hallettsville, Miss Annie Pechack of New Braunfels and Miss Clara Pechack of Highland; four sons, Adolph Pechack of Yoakum, Joe Pechack of Willis, Emil Pechack of Miles and Otto Pechack of Houston.

The body will be forwarded to Hallettsville by Earthman Funerals for burial.

Note the spelling of the surname.
