Louise - Jerome Louis Sablatura, 69, of Louise, died Thursday, Aug. 8, 2002.

He was born June 21, 1933, in Ganado, to the late Pete and Annie Migla Sablatura. He was owner of Sablatura's Grocery Store and a member of St. Procopius Catholic Church. He was a member of Louise Lions Club, Hillje-Louise Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and honorary member of Louise Volunteer Fire Department. He served on the board of Wharton County Water District No. 1 and was an U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors: wife, Rose Ellender Sablatura; daughter, Cindy Reyna of El Campo; sons, Richard Sablatura of Louise and Tommy Sablatura of New Ulm; brother, Jimmy Sablatura of Palacios; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will begin 11 a.m. today at Triska Funeral Home chapel.

A parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home chapel.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Procopius Catholic Church, the Rev. Clement Quainoo officiating. Burial with full military honors under the auspices of the American Legion Post 251 will be at Ganado Cemetery.
