Fayette County Record August 14, 1998 Abstract of Obituary Funeral services for Albert W. "Dub" Sander, 92 of Paige and father of Mrs. Marlene Eschberger of Dime Box, were held Aug. 10 at St. John Lutheran Church in Paige. Interment followed at the Friendship Cemetery. The Rev. Alvin Epperson officiated. Mr. Sander died Aug. 7 in Bastrop. Born Dec. 1, 1905, he was the son of Lawrence and Ana (Hoffman) Sander. He married Martha Baasen on March 12, 1931. Mr. Sander was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Paige. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Louis Clark of Bastrop, Bernell Vines and her husband Ed of Houston, Verna Mae Buckner and her husband James of Austin and Marlgene Eschberger and her husband the Rev. Lee Eschberger of Dime Box; a daughter-in-law, Velma Sander of Houston; one sister, Frieda Thiele of Houston; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
