Shiner - Adolf A. Schaefer, 79, of Shiner, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002.

He was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Shiner, to the late Louis and Christina Tesar Schaefer. He was a farmer/rancher and a Catholic.

Survivors: daughters, Patsy Boehm and Janie Boehm, both of Shiner; sons, Adolph Schaefer Jr. of Seguin and Randy Schaefer, Michael Schaefer, Damon Schaefer and Donnie Schaefer, all of Shiner; sisters, Christine Wenske of Moulton, Pearl Welfel of Bay City and Millie Janota of Gonzales; brother, Edwin Schaefer of Shiner; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: parents; and sister, Margaret Valis.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. Sunday at Buffington Funeral Home chapel in Shiner.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home chapel. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, the Rev. Donald Hayden officiating.

Burial will be at Shiner Catholic Cemetery. Buffington Funeral Home, Shiner, 361-594-3352.
