Victoria Advocate August 22, 2002 East Bernard - Julie Grace Schaer, 96, of East Bernard, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002. She was born Feb. 16, 1906, in East Bernard, to the late Joseph and Frances Baros Holchak. She was a member of KJZT, Holy Cross Catholic Church and charter member of the Catholic Daughters. She was a homemaker. Survivors: daughters, Julia Krenek of Egypt and Frances Chilek of Rosenberg; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.Preceded in death by: husband, Louie Herman Schaer; parents; sister, Mollie Greenway; and brothers, Jim Holchak and Theophil Holchak. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at Wharton Funeral Home chapel.A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Mgsr. Robert Barzyk and the Revs. Don Ruppert, Dan Warden and Henry Rachunek officiating.Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
