Fayette County Record July 4, 2000 Abstract of Obituary Funeral services for Ora Lee Schlabach, 80, of Fayetteville were held July 1 at St Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby. Burial followed in the Shelby Cemetery. The Rev Don Cole officiated. She died June 28 in Brenham. She was born Dec 22, 1919 in Nassau, the daughter of Ewald and Nola (Giese) Weyand. She married Coivin H. Schlabach on Nov 16, 1939. She attended Nassau School. She was a homemaker, was a member of Sons of Hermann Lodge 28, Shelby Fire Dept and Harmonie Hall of Shelby and life long member of St Paul Lutheran church in Shelby. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Paula Wunderlich Weyand; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harry and Elsie Schlabach, Milton and BeX-Mozilla-Status: 0009 Aschenbeck, Sr and Viola Schlabach. Survivors include her husband, Coivin H Schlabach of Shelby; daughter Janice and Alfred Kelm of Burton; grandchildren, Donald and Kathy Kelm of Thornton and Deyene and Glenn Roberts of Brenham; great-grandchildren, Garrison, Dalton and Haydon Roberts and Braden Kelm; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roy E and Verline Schlabach of Shelby and Pearl Aschenbeck of Shelby and a special friend Swantje Gruessing of Germany.
