Victoria Advocate Evelyn Psencik Schomburg, age 82 of Inez, died, Sunday, June 27, 2004. She was born January 30, 1922 in Inez, Texas to the late Will and Sophie Kolle Kutchka. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Schomburg, her first husband, James Psencik, brother, Kolle Kutchka and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Pope and husband Mike of Inez; son, Dwayne Psencik and wife Marsha of Meridian, Mississippi; grandchildren, Jason Psencik and Laura Psencik both of Birmingham, Alabama, Will Pope and Melanie Pope of Inez and Matthew Pope of Astoria, New York. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Inez. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2004 with a prayer service to be held at 7:30 p.m. at Rosewood Funeral Chapels. Pallbearers will be, Jason Psencik, Will Pope, Matthew Pope, Bruce Miller, Blake Roberts and Tommy Psencik. Memorials may be made to St. Josephs Catholic Church in Inez.
