Abstract of Obituary

Funeral services for Herbert Schramm Sr., 75, of Bleiblerville were conducted July 14 in the Nelsonville Brethren Church. The Rev. Albert Michalik officiated. Burial was in the National Cemetery in Nelsonville.

Mr. Schramm died July 12 at his residence. Born Dec. 14, 1922 in Shelby, he was the son of Willie C. and Ella (Andreas) Schramm. He was united in marriage with Emma Ida Drevojanek in Nelsonville on Aug. 15, 1942. He was a member of the Nelsonville Brethren church.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Emma Schramm of Bleiblerville; two sons and daughter-in-law, Herbert Jr. and Leona Schramm and Delbert and Malinda Schramm, all of Bleiblerville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Norbert and Nolee Schramm of Warrenton and Frank and Marie Schramm of Shelby; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby and Edgar Dudensing of New Ulm, Lorine and Thomas Holub of Weimar and Ida and Olin Weber of Houston; other sisters-in-law, Dorrace Schramm of New Ulm, Mabel Schramm of Carmine, Olivia Schramm of Nelsonville, Mathilda and her husband Leroy Sommerlatte of Bliblerville and Kathrina Makowsky of Brenham; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Lawrence, Waldemar, Leroy and Andrew Schramm; brother-in-law, Wilbert Makowsky; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Allizia and Ernest Klaus, Roxie and Paul Laake and Esther Schramm, and great-granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Schramm.

Koenig-Peel & Strickland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
