Nov. 20, 1998 Abstract of Obituary. Funeral services for Royce E. Schroeder, 60 of Spring and brother of Glenda Janda of LaGrange, were held Nov. 12 in St. Edwards Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. The Rev. Msgr. William M. Pichard, the Rev. Msgr. Al R. Doga and the Rev. Dennis L. Peterson were concelebrants of the Rite of Committal. Mr. Schroeder died Nov. 10 in Houston. Born April 1, 1938 n Schulenburg, he was the son of Ervin and Cleo Schroeder. He married his first wife, Mary Ann Korenek on Sept. 5, 1958 in Dubina and his second wife, Barbara Andrews on June 21, 1986 in Houston. His family was a first member family of St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Houston. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; his mother, Cleo Schroeder; two daughters and sons-in law, Sandy and Danny Cunningham and Suzy and Steve Campbell; four step-daughters and step-sons-in-law, Teresa Schouster, Cindy and Reed Schnittker, Anita and Glenn Dulaney and Kathy and Joe Thompson; three sons, Kyle and Tracie Schroeder and Darrell Schroeder; one step-son, Alan Andrews; two sisters, Carol Ann Hollas and Glenda Janda; three brothers, Danny, Ron and Harlan Schroeder; seven grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and an aunt and uncle, Bernice and Fritz Lobpries of LaGrange. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ann and his father, Ervin. Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
