Shiner Gazette 13 Feb 1986 Elsie Schumacher Services Held Cuero - Mrs. Elsie Schumacher, 76, of Cuero died in a Cuero hospital following a sudden illness Monday, Jan. 27, 1986. She operated Schumacher Store 20 years. She was also in the meat processing business. Mrs. Schumacher was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Home Demonstration Club. She was born in DeWitt County Jan. 24, 1910, daughter of Frank and Mary (Brosch) Maresch. She married Arthur Schumacher in Yoakum Nov. 19, 1929. The body lay in state at Freund Funeral Home until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, when it was taken to St. Michael Catholic Church where services were held at 2 p.m. Monsignor Henry Herbert officiated. Burial followed in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Surviving are the husband; three sons, Marvin Schumacher, Harvey Schumacher
and Harry Schumacher of Cuero; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Petering, Mrs. Elenora
Richter and Mrs. Cora Regner of Yoakum; 12 grandchildren and 12
