DAVID TAJCHMAN

 

David James Tajchman, Jr., 25, of Austin and a former resident of Corpus Christi, passed away Friday, July 28, 2000, in an Austin hospital.

He was born October 18, 1974, in Corpus Christi. He graduated from Calallen High School and served in the U.S. Air Force from September, 1993 until March 16, 1998. At the time of his death he was employed as a consultant for Tek Systems in Austin. He was a Catholic and a member of K.J.T.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emerick and Angeline Tajchman, Frank Nemec and a step-grandfather, Henry Strmiska, an uncle, David Nemec and an aunt, Kathryn Burgess.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal Tajchman of Austin; his parents, David and Susie Tajchman of Calallen; two sisters, Suzette (Fred) Gimbel of San Antonio and Sharla Tajchman of Calallen; one brother, Eric Tajchman of Calallen; nieces, Emily and Katie Gimbel of San Antonio; his grandmother, Geneva Nemec Strmiska of Calallen; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The Rosary was recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday in Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2000 in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church on FM 624 with Rev. Matthew Lyng, Pastor, as celebrant.

Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Gary Foyt, Jeff Gerace, Fred Gimbel, Chris Johnson, Aaron Lisenbe, Joshua Nemec, Patrick Nemec and John Tajchman.

Those who wish may make contributions to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church building fund.
