Weimar -- Joe C. Targac, 79, of Weimar, died Saturday, March 10, 2001.He was born Dec. 4, 1921, in Yoakum. He was a retired tractor mechanic and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

Survivors: wife, Olga Targac; daughter, Pat Simons of Columbus; sons, Deacon Joey Targac of Hallettsville, David Targac of Wadsworth and Gary Targac of Anchorage, Alaska; sisters, Rosie Smejkal of Beeville and Louise Smejkal of Corpus Christi; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at Hubbard Funeral Home chapel.A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. at the chapel.Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, the Revs. John Peters and John C. Bily officiating.Burial will be at Plum Catholic Cemetery in Plum.
