Victoria Advocate August 22, 2002 He was born Feb. 13, 1913, in Komensky, to the late Ambrose and Agnes Barak Technik. He was former principal of Stacy, Witting and Vyshrad schools. He was a member of Lavaca County Czech Heritage Society, Sons of Hermann Lodge and St. Mary's Church. Survivors: wife, Mary Prasek Technik; daughters, Margaret Kallus of Hallettsville and Joyce Janak of Houston; sons, Mike Technik of Cypress and Bobby Technik of League City; brothers, Julius Technik of Hallettsville and Victor Technik of Moulton; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: parents; and brothers, Linhart Technik, George Technik, Jerome Technik and two infant brothers. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. today at Kubena Funeral Home chapel. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. tonight at the funeral home chapel and 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Church. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. John Peters officiating.
