Beloved Friends:
We are gathered here this afternoon to pay tribute to Erwin Teltschik, an obedient son, a faithful husband, a loving father, a good friend - who passed from this world into the next at 12:20 p.m. of Tuesday, September 10, 1957. Erwin had been ill for the past four months and had spent the majority of the time in the hospital undergoing surgery, until he received his rest. Erwin was born on September 20, 1913 in the Oakland Community to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Teltschik. He made his home in and around Weimar all of his life. On the 21st day of September, 1940 he married Miss Leona Koehler of Weimar. To this Christian family came two boys, Erwin Teltschik, Jr. and David Teltschik. Just as he was a bulwark to this congregation, so was he a strength to his community. His labor and his spirit spread throughout the community. Erwin had been the Magnolia Service Station Operator for almost 18 years. He was a member of Texas Service Station Association and President- elect of the Weimar Lion's Club for this year. He was a member of the church council and chairman of the board of Christian education of our congregation. Erwin loved his family, his children, his friends. He loved his work and served his customers above the call of duty. He was active in his work, striving to achieve the best. Erwin Teltschik, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Teltschik, the husband of Mrs. Leona Koehler Teltschik, the father of Erwin and David Teltschik is survived by these and also one brother, Mr. Alfred Teltschik of San Antonio. Mr. Erwin Teltschik passed away at the age of 43 years, 11 months and 19 days. Along with his family and loved ones, he is survived by a host of relatives and many friends who extend Christian sympathy to each of us whose lives were touched by his. Rev.
