Fred August Teubner, 69, of Arlington, died Feb. 21, 2001, in Arlington.

Funeral services were Feb. 24 at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington. Burial followed at Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington.

He was born July 9, 1931, in Houston. He was a member of the Lutheran church in Huntsville and a member of the VFW Post 09561.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and had been a Harris County Sheriff Deputy. He was a retired security administrator.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Teubner of Arlington; a son, Gregory Teubner of Sealy; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Jim Pirtle of Arlington; two sisters, Betty Chronister of Euless and Irene Dusky of Carlsbad, N.M.; and two grandchildren, Christian Teubner Pirtle and Matthew Teubner Pirtle, both of Arlington.

Moore Funeral Home in Arlington was in charge of the arrangements.
