Billings (MT) Gazette 3 Dec 2000 He was born on Mar. 15, 1911, in Berlin, N.D. to Mathias and Eva Theisen. He worked on the family farm near La Moure, N.D. and held a variety of jobs until he moved to the Molt area. He served in the New Guinea campaign during World War II. He met Evelyn Hemmi in San Antonio, and they were married in Hallettsville, Texas on Jan. 9, 1946. The newlywed couple moved to Montana where Wilfred farmed and ranched in Molt until his retirement in 1975. Wilfred was proud of his wellkept farm, his farming skills and his five children. He enjoyed dancing, camping, fishing, traveling, playing cards and visiting with family and friends. He was generous in helping others, and was a most gracious host in his home. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn of 54 years; his daughters, Sister Mary Ann SCL, Linda (Bob) Lang, Diane (Troy) Slind; his sons, Ron, and Gary (Linda); his nine grandchildren, Bob, Brian, and Jason Lang, Steven, Kristin, Adam, Gary Jr. Theisen, Eric and Ethan Slind; and five great-grandchildren, Decee, Mickal, Katelyn, Jennifer, and Mariah, all of Billings; his three sisters, Agnes (Joe) Schwab, Mildred Raffety, Corrine (Alton) Skjefte; his brothers, Lee Theisen and Cliff (Theresa) Theisen; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Nicholas, Isadore, and Edmund; and his infant sister, Catherine. The Vigil service will be Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. at Dahl Funeral Chapel. The Funeral mass will be Wednesday, 11 a.m. at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, 2210 Colton Blvd. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 2812 First
