Rozine Tilicek, 91, of Schulenburg died Wed Dec 19 at Specialty Hospital in Austin.

Funeral services were held Sat Dec 22 2001 at 2PM at First United Methodist Church. Rev Phillip Gary Robberson officiated.

Born at Sour Lake on May 31 1910, she was the daughter of Clair Arthur Pennington Sr and Mollie Sengelmann Pennington. She married Frank J. Tilicek Sr on Jan 9 1928. She and her husband founded Frank's Restaurant in Schulenburg in 1929.

The landmark restaurant was moved by Rozine and Frank Tilicek to Highway 90 and later by Mrs. Tilicek and her son, Frank Jr. to its present location of IH10. She was retired at the time of her death. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Schulenburg Garden Club.

Survivors include a son, Frank Tilicek Jr and wife Shirley of Schulenburg; sister Madeline Owens of Carrollton; brother, C. A. Pennington and wife Margie of Schulenburg; two grandchildren, Frank Tilicek III and wife Ginger of Schulenburg and Cheryl Lauterstein and husband George of Wimberley; and two great-grandchildren, Tara Tilicek of Austin and Frank Eric Tilicek of Schulenburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home of Schulenburg was in charge of arrangements.
