Jan. 19, 1999 Abstract of Obituary. Judith Lev Tofel, 73, of Ammannsville died Jan. 13 in Ammannsville. Funeral services were held Jan. 15 at St. John The Baptist Church in Ammannsville with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Tim Kosler officiated. Born Oct. 28, 1925 in Praha, she was the daughter of Frank and Marie (Novak) Lev. She married Alfonse Tofel on April 20, 1948 in Praha. She was a member of the Catholic church [name not given]. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Angeline and Eugene Pavlicek; four sons and daughters-in-law, John and Sherian Tofel, Thomas and Denise Tofel, Frank Tofel and George Tofel and Joyce McGary; three sisters, Sister Robert Lev, Cecilia Lev and Stazie Stryk; one brother, Emil Lev and 6 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Okruhlik and Agnes Jasek and two brothers, Johnnie and Charlie Lev. Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home of Schulenburg was in charge of arrangements.
