Lillie Rozell Toten, 88, of Waco passed away March 7, 2001 at a local nursing home. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Connally-Compton Funeral Chapel in Waco with Chaplain Buddy Sipe officiating. Burial will be at Bosqueville Cemetery.

Mrs. Toten was born May 18, 1912 in Bosque County to N.C. and Nora Catherine Rozell, the oldest of ten children. She was raised in the Gholsen area.

She married the late Andy Toten in April, 1936 in Bosque County. He preceded her in death in November, 1968. They resided in the Bosqueville and Waco area most of their life together.

She was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings; her husband; thier children who died in infancy; and daughter Helen Fitzhugh in July, 1997.

Survivors include her daughter Edna Witt of Waco; a sister Nell Long of Waco; a brother-in-law, Jess Toten of China Spring; grandsons, Steve Witt & wife Tracy of Houston, Mike Fitzhigh & wife Tammy of Gholson, and Mark Fitzhugh of Colorado; grandaughter Cindy Moseley & husband Phillip of Lacy Lakeview; great grandson Zach; great-granddaughters Jillian, Robin and Caitlyn; many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Moseley, Conrad Perez, Leslie Kroll, Herschel Richter and Carl Long.
