Ganado - Julius Adolph Tupa, 56, of Ganado, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002.

He was born May 9, 1946, in El Campo, to Julius J. Tupa and Jonella Bilek of El Campo. He was a substitute rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and a retired elementary school teacher.

He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and of the American Legion. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and was a past Cub Master for Boy Scouts of America.

Survivors: wife, Lou Ann Lidiak Tupa; daughter, Jennifer Anne Tupa of Moulton; son, Jeffrey Adam Tupa of West Columbia; parents; and brother, Gary W. Tupa of El Campo.

A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Assumption Catholic church.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Joseph Hybner officiating.

Burial will be at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Ganado. Ganado Funeral Home, Ganado, 361-771-2120. Memorials: Donor's choice.
