Houston Chronicle 4/7/2003 He was born April 8, 1923 in Perry Point, Maryland. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Helen Urban. He leaves behind his wife, Jimmie; sons John T. and Joseph Patrick Urban and their families; daughters, Olivia and Carey and their families; stepsons, Gene and Larry Tharp and their families. He will be greatly missed by his family especially his 12 beloved grandchildren. A visitation for Mr. Urban will be held from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2003 at Earthman Alief-Sharpstown Funeral Home with a vigil service beginning at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 7720 Boone Rd., Houston 77072. Committal rites For Mr. Urban will follow at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Parkway. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions
