Robert Silven "Bob" Urban, 80, of Waco died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at his residence. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Harris Creek Cemetery, with the Rev. Melvin Dornak officiating. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at Brookview Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Urban was born February 17, 1921, in West, Texas, to John and Mary Slovak Urban. He was raised on a farm near West for 21 years until he entered the Air Force during WWII. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sgt. in January 1946. He worked for more than 31 years for Civil Service at James Connally AFB and the U.S. Postal Service.

Mr. Urban married Lynn McKethan on November 7, 1946. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church. His main interests were his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Urban of Waco; daughters, Robbie L. Moore of Waco, Kerry F. Henshaw of Austin and Sally M. Englebrecht of Waco; sister, Mary Alexander of Abbott; brother, John R. Urban of West; grandchildren, Pat and Kathleen Henshaw of Humble, Heather Hinshaw of Kingwood, Bradley Englebrecht and Grant Farek of Waco; great-grandchild, J.P. Hinshaw of Humble, and special son-in-law, Tom Moore, of Waco.

Pallbearers will be Darren McKethan, Kevin McKethan, Ed Soukup, Johnny Alexander, Raymond Urban and James Soukup.
