Mr. Louis J. Zabojnik, 85, died Wednesday, August 7, at the Ennis Regional Medical Center.

He was born may 10, 1917 in Alma, the son of Louis and Mary Valek Zabojnik. He was reared in Alma where he attended school. On November 22, 1938 he was married to Mary E. Nekuza of Ennis.

After their marriage they lived in Ennis. In February 1942 he was employed by Ennis Business Forms as a carbon Cutter. He retired in June 1979. Mrs. Zabojnik preceded him in death on February 8, 2002. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church and the KJT.

He is survived by a son and his wife, Louis B. and Carol Zabojnik of Ennis; a son-in-law, Harrell Griesenbeck of Lancaster; two brothers, Aubrey Zabojnik of Garland and Frank Zabojnik of Ennis; five sisters, Mary Barto of Waco, Frances Thompson of Irving, Emily Barto of Dallas, Ella Babek of Arlington and Pauline Drozd of Lake Dallas; and three grandchildren, Sherri Griesenbeck of Dallas, Jennifer and her husband, Griff Mauldin of Pensacola, Florida and Lauren Zabojnik of Ennis.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia M. Griesenbeck on July 5, 1971; a brother, Stanley R. Zabojnik and a sister, Teresa Vrla.

Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Keever Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon Friday in St. John Catholic Church with Father Fred Caldwell as celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary.
