MARY (NEKUZA) ZABOJNIK

Mass of the Christian Burial for Mary E. Zabojnik was celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday in St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Ernie Villaroya as celebrant.

Rosary was recited at 5 p.m. Sunday in the Keever Chapel.

Interment was in St. Joseph's Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary with the following serving as pallbearers: Tony Vitovsky, Stanley Liska, Paul Nekuza, Dennis Nekuza, Greg Patak, J. Pinter, Greg Zabojnik and David Babek.

Mrs. Zabojnik, 83, died Friday, Feb. 8, at the Ennis Regional Medical Center.

She was born June 28, 1918 in Ennis, the daughter of Anton J. and Anne Kudrna Nekuza.

She was reared in the Ennis area and attended Mott schools. On Nov. 22, 1938 she was married to Louis J. Zabojnik. After their marriage they lived in Ennis.

She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the KJZT and the Altar Society.

She is survived by her husband, Louis, of Ennis; a son and his wife, Louis B. and Carol Zabojnik of Ennis; a son-in-law, Harrell Griesenbeck of Lancaster, two brothers, Anton H. Nekuza and Raymond Nekuza both of Ennis; and three grandchildren, Sherri Griesenbeck, Jennifer Mauldin and Lauren Zabojnik.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia M. Griesenbeck, on July 5 1971 and three sisters, Mildred Vitovsky, Adell Svehlak and Cecilie Liska.
