14 May 1999 George Zabransky, 76, passed away on May 13, 1999 in Houston. He was born February 24, 1923 in Schulenburg, Tx. He entered the Army November 16, 1943 and proudly served his country as a CPL in World War II. He retired from Cameron Iron Works in May of 1986. He was survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Viola Zabransky, son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Ruth Zabransky; daughters and son-in-laws; Sandy and Bill Ashworth and Debbie and Mark Thurmond; grandchildren, Cody Zabransky, Blake and Courtney Ashworth and Matt, Drew, and Dane Thurmond. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Jim and Marcia Zabransky; along with numerous relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Theresa Catholic Church. Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on May 14, 1999 with Visitation to follow from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Earthman Hunters Creek Chapel, 8303 Katy Frwy. Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 15, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell, Houston, Tx. 77007. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery.
