The Ennis Daily News Wednesday April 12, 1995 He was born May 20, 1909 in Ennis the son of Joe and Mary Frances Vezalic Zajdl. He was reared in and around the Ennis community. He attended school in Crisp. After their marriage they lived in Crisp. In 1938 they moved to Dallas where he was employed by the Neuhoff Packing Company in 1941. He retired in 1971 as a foreman after over 30 years of service. Mrs. Zajdl preceded him in death on Aug. 23, 1976. He was a member of the Dallas Brethren Church. He is survived by two daughters, Alice Macalik and Evelyn Wright both of Dallas; two brothers, Arnold Zajdl of Dallas and Eddie Zajdl of Gun Barrel City; four sisters, Helen Durdin, Louis Witt, Albina Starek and Ema Cochran all of Dallas; eight grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Crisp Cemetery with Rev. Tim Ahlen of the Country Church in Mesquite officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary. *note: the obit has mispelled his mother's maiden name. It should be spelled Vrzalik. Also, they did not publish his wife's name. Her name was Julia
