Born in Buckholts, Texas February 23, 1918, to Frank Zajicek and Lucy Jurca Zajicek. Preceded in death by: parents; brother Raymond; sister Lydia; wife Julia Bozon Zajicek. Survived by: wife Evelyn Zahn Zajicek; son Larry J. Zajicek and wife Vicki; son Robert L. Zajicek and wife Janie; grandson Paul Zajicek and wife Brandy; granddaughter Cheryl Zajicek; great granddaughter Paige Zajicek; step-son Floyd Zahn and wife Connie; step-grandchildren: Lisa Martinez and husband Jerry, Ronnie Zahn, Jake Zahn, Zachary Zahn, and Mary Zahn, step-great grandchildren: Amber Martinez and Alana Martinez. Also survived by brothers & sisters and their families; Sidonia Swoboda, Edwin Zajicek, Rudolph Zajicek all of Buckholts, Texas, Leona Turner of Kerrville, Texas, Ben Zajicek of Cameron, Texas, Frankie Zajicek of Schertz, Texas, Woodrow Zajicek of Gause, Texas and Carol Jean Baggerly of Waxahacie, Texas. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Retired from Hughes Tool Co. after 38 years. Albert was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army 102nd Infantry Division in Europe and a recipient of a Silver Star. He was a member of Post 9187 VFW, American Legion Post 0360, SPJST Lodge 88, Sokol Lodge, Sons of Herman Lodge 007-1 Magnolia, and the Houston Brethren Church. Pallbearers will be: Paul Zajicek, Floyd Zahn, Robert Riddle, Frank Kuropata, L. D. Zajicek, Donny Kutac, Raymond Krampota, and Vince Zajicek. Honorary pallbearer, Jerry Martinez. The family will receive friends on Monday January 13, 2003 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Boulevard. The funeral service will be Tuesday January 14, 2003 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Heights Funeral Home with Rev. William Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.
