FRANCES ZAK

This obit was translated from Czech to English

With deep grief and anxiety, we are announcing to our friends and axquaintances, that our Holy Father decided to call to himself our precious beloved daughter. Frances Zak

Following 13 days of suffering illness of pneumonia, passed away calmly, Lords Day 18 March 1918.

Funeral services were on day 20 March at the Catholic Cemetery in Rowena, Texas.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to vip F. Garmann for his impressive address and prayers in the home of the bereaved and for all the words of consolation in the Lords House over the deceased coffin and ceremonial at the grave, as well as pp. Wisner for singing and accompaniment for Mass.

Further cordial gratitude to all of our neighbors and acquaintances, who helped us during the days and nights to nurse our beloved daughter, especially the Machac, Malish, Janicat, Kotrla and Fejfar families, accept our heartfelt thanks. It is not possible for us to name all, as it would take much space.

Also we thank the Baron family and all others for their beautiful bouquets and wreaths. Further, we thank the maidens and youths who escorted our daughter to her eternal rest as well as Father J. Svrchek for words of thanks and appreciation(in our behalf) at the grave, to all, we cry within the depth of our hearts: "May God the Father reward each of you!"

This shock is for us more painful as it has afflicted us for the second time in twelve days. It was the 4th of March, when our oldest daughter Anna, married to Ben Schwertner, was taken to the hospital in Ballinger and there operated for appendicitis, however, on the 6th of March following 3 days of severe suffering, passed away calmly to her Lord.

The deceased leaves a grieving and loving husband and two children, a little girl 2 years old and son only three months of age.

May they rest gently oh Lord, and eternal light shine upon them as they rest in the peace. There our thought are uplifted, where concealed is our dearest treasure.

Upon the field of repose without interference, sweetly you are resting, but our hearts contain grief. Sleep sweetly in your eternal sleep.

Jan and Eva Zak, parents of the deceased Frantisek and Jan, brothers Marie, Karolina, Angelina, sisters
