Funeral services for August Zatopek, 87, of Moulton were held Jan 5 at Zion Lutheran Church in Moulton with the Rev J R Westerfield officiating. Burial followed in the Moulton City Cemetery.

He died Jan 2. He was born Feb 1, 1912 in Fayette County, the son of August Sr and Frances (Slovacek) Zatopek.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Moulton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Lillie (Trojcak) Zatopek; daughter, Delores Shely of Alto; son Marvin Zatopek of Houston; 6 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 6 step-grandchildren.

Funeral handled by Kubena Funeral Home.
