Friday January 12, 2001 Natalie Appelt Zbranek, 86, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister went to be with Jesus in her eternal home on January 10, 2001. Natalie was born April 13, 1914, and grew up at Appelts Hill to the late Edward and Frances Stanzel Appelt. She married the late Edward R. Zbranek, August 6, 1940, in Hallettsville. She was a homemaker, a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and Christian Mothers Society. Natalie will always be remembered for her unselfishness, compassion, and love for her family and others. "Gone but not forgotten" is certainly true about her because she has left all of us with such wonderful and beautiful memories. Those precious memories will live in our hearts forever. Survivors: 2-daughters Lillian Fowler, Yvonne Zbranek; 2-sons Alois Zbranek, Alton Zbranek; 2-brothers Alton Appelt, Edward Appelt; 5-grandchildren Melissa Mesa, Tina Rincon, Chris Fowler, Rodney Fowler, Michael Fowler; 7-great-grandchildren Jonathon Fowler, Meghan Fowler, Colton Fowler, Mariah Mesa, Marcus Rincon, Elya Rincon, and Anthony Rincon. Preceded in death by: Husband; Parents; 1-son Edward Zbranek; 3-brothers Hilmer Appelt, Alphonse Appelt, James "Smokey" Appelt. Service: 1 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2001, at Sacred Heart Church in Hallettsville. Rosaries: 7 p.m., Saturday at Kubena Funeral Home, and 12:30 p.m., Sunday at Sacred Heart Church. Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hallettsville. Officiate: the Rev. John Peters.
