Services for Marjorie Zbranek, 78, of La Grange were held Oct 20 at Sergeant Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange with Msgr. Harry Masurkiewicz officiating. Burial followed at La Grange City Cemetery.

Zbranek died Oct 17 at Fayette Memorial Hospital in La Grange.

She was born June 13, 1922 in Altair, Tx, the daughter of Raleigh and Pearl Minnie (McNett) Spittler. Zbranek was united in marriage with Justin Joe Zbranek on Sept 4, 1938 in La Grange, Tx. She was a retired horticulturist that was employed at Franklin Nursery and affiliated with Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange. She was a member of the Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of America.

Zbranek was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Eugene Ray; 2 brothers Marvina nd LeRoy; and a grandson Richard.

Survivors include a son, Paul Henry Zbranek of Houston; a daughter, Barbara Jean Jurecka of La Grange; a sister, Edna Mae Koepke of La Grange; 4 brothers, John, Walter and Melvin Spittler all of Nederalnd and Virgil Edward Spittler of Hilltop Lakes; and numerous nieces and nephews.
