Victoria Advocate January 13, 2003 He was born Jan. 8, 1916, in Thomaston, to the late Berthold and Sophia Schultz Zengerle. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII. He owned and operated Royal's Café and worked at Fischer's Laundry and Dry Cleaners. He was a member of VFW, American Legion, Sons of Herman, St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Cuero. Survivors: son, Roy Tim Zengerle of Cuero; sister, Gladys Zengerle Cohen of Cuero; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: wife, Ida Timme Zengerle; and parents. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. tonight at Freund Funeral Home chapel. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, the Rev. Steve Byrne officiating.
