Funeral services for Adolph J. Zigal, 93, of West Point TX were held Mon Nov 26 at 10AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial in the La Grange City Cemetery. Rev. Msgr. Stanley Petru and Rev. Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz officiated.

Zigal died Nov 23 in an Austin hospital.

Born Sept 16 1908 in Plum he was the son of Alfons and Annie Korenek Zigal. He married Rosie Bruns Jan 22 1940 in Plum. He worked for 30 years as a bus driver and mechanic for La Grange Independent School District and for seven years for Farmers Lumber Company in La Grange. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Chromcik Council #2574.

Survivors include two daughters, Jo Ann Trlicek and husband Clement and Linda Vasek and husband Larry, both of La Grange; four brothers, Emil of New Braunfels, Ernest and wife Pat of Smithville, Eugene of Houston, and Willie and wife Mary Grace of La Grange; two sisters, Josephine Bell of Houston and Libby Hart of Texas City; three grandchildren, Lyndsey Vasek, Greg Trlicek and wife Tammy, Debbie Gaertner and husband Marcus; and four great-grandchildren, Zachary and Shelby Trlicek and Jennifer and Jordan Gaertner, all of La Grange.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years; parents; two brothers and a sister.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association or Sacred Heart School Library, La Grange.

Koenig and Strickland Funeral Home of La Grange was in charge of arrangements.
