The Borden Historical Society published a book "The First Hundred Years" in 1976 at the our centennial celebration. We have made one reprinting since and are currently out, trying to get bids to reprint. It is primarily a compilation of one page family histories and recollections of early settlers. It includes about 100 families, soft cover and 88 pages in total. At last printing it was $10.00 each if picked up at the courthouse and plus $3.00 if mailed. Give us another month or two and they can check with any office in the Borden County Courthouse for availability and price
