My father was named Ira Lee Davis. He died in Houston, Texas in 1997.
I was suprised
in studying genealogy of our family to find his name on the marriage
records of Bosque
county. I wrote for the license which states that a Ira Lee Davis
married an Elizabeth
Hollon(m) on December 25, 1927. Rev. J.H. Rhodes, Justice of the
Peace performed
the marriage. It may be that this person is no relation, however,
the age fits. I think
my father was living in Ellis county at the time with Oscar Fife
and family. My father
had two sisters, Blanche Mae (Myers) Davis and Teenie(Mona) Davis. His
mother
was named Nora Winningham. Will greatly appreciate a reply.
