3. Capt. Troy Ernest Brooks

born Mar. 19, 1892, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Brooks, Bangs, Texas, husband of Katherine S. Brooks, Burnet, Texas. Attended Bangs High School. Volunteered Aug. 17, 1943, at El Paso. Assigned to Army, Chaplain's Corps. Trained at Chaplain's School, Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass. Served overseas from May, 1945 to Dec., 1945 in Asiatic-Pacific and Occupation Forces in Japan and Okinawa. Received American Defense Ribbon and Victory Medal. Discharged Mar. 1, 1946.

4. 2nd Lt. Bruce Wayne Brooks

born Nov. 3, 1922, son of Mr. and Mrs. Troy E. Brooks, Burnet, Texas. Attended Texas College of Mines, El Paso, Texas. Volunteered Nov. 3, 1942 at El Paso. Assigned to Army, Quartermaster Corps. Trained at Camp Lee, Va. Served as an Italian Interpreter with an Italian Service Co. for 1 year, studying the Army's Area and Language courses given at the University of Wisconsin. Discharged from service July 15, 1946.
