Dixie Ray Buckner and her twin sister Ruth were born 31 Aug 1891 at Bertram.  Her parents were the late R. P. "Dick" Ray and Ruth Ann (Sullivan) Ray.

She married Walter Buckner in February 1914 at Bertram.  He died in 1963.  Their only son, Weldon Buckner,  died in 1967.  Her only daughter is Ruth Lou Tatum, of Spicewood.

In 1991, at the celebration of her 100th birthday, Dixie had six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Dixie Ray Buckner died 29 Nov 1997 in Spicewood.
