Maxine was a long-time member and eager volunteer of the Burnet County Genealogical Society and the Adam R. Johnson Chapter 2498 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.  She was a friend to all she met and unselfishly volunteered her time for events and activities sponsored by the Herman Brown Free Library.
