He was born 6 Nov 1844 in Tennessee; died in Burnet County, Texas 2 Feb

enlisted in the Confederate Army, Fifth Tennessee Calvary, at
Knoxville, 4 October 1861, at the age of 16. He and brother, James,
served together during the remainder of the war and were members of
Company H, 5th Tennessee Calvary, Ashby’s Brigade, General Ewell
Wheeler commander. Was at the Battle of Chickamauga. They
also served under Generals Braxton Bragg, Joseph E. Johnston, and John
B. Hood and saw Married 02/25/1869 Sophronia Elizabeth Faubion (06/13/1849 - 03/25/1906)(born Tenn;died Texas)(IOOF Cemetery), daughter of Tilghman Alexander Howard Faubion and Margaret Catherine McSween Children of Joseph Frederick Pangle and Sophronia Elizabeth Faubion:
