I am researching the following names: David WILLIAMS married to SEATON, their son George Purvis WILLIAMS married to Mary Jane MAYO. William W. MAYO married to Sarah (?). The WILLIAMS family migrated from TN in the 1800's to TX living in Cherokee, TX, San Saba Co. in 1870's and moving to Hood Co. in 1890's. The MAYO family migrated from GA to TX living in Burnet Co. Hill born in Tn 1830 and died in Throckmorton Co 11-11-1911.She died in the home of her daughter Fannie Barker born 12-17-1851 died 7-28-1932 Throckmorton CO. Thank you

Seeking information on Permilia MILNE listed on the 1870 Burnet County census. She had two daughters listed, Lucinda age 15 born in Texas, and Martha age 10 born in Missouri. I believe the following three marriages pertain to Permilia: Purvine Permilea JOY to Wm L. MILLER 9 Aug 1950 Travis Co.TX P Penino MILLER to John MILINE 31 May 1854 Burnet Co, TX Mrs. P. Milne to David EPLEY 10 Jan 1873 If the preceeding information is correct then Permilia was dead by Oct of 1877 when David EPLEY married again to Elizabeth JOY. I will exchange information on JOY, DUNAWAY, or TOBEY.

I am researching my maternal grandfather's family who lived in Burnet County from around 1870 to 1910. They include William Arrie WEST and his wife Bessie DEWOLFE West, his parents George E. WEST and Isabelle GANN West, Bessie's parents Homer and Martha DEWOLF from Ohio, and Isabelle's parents W. T. GANN and Elizabeth GANN. They lived near Briggs. I have photos of the West and DeWolfe homes near Briggs, taken around 1905. Most of the clan moved to Tom Green County around 1910.

I am seeking information on Thomas Byers WOODS, buried at the Tobey Cemetery near Marble Falls, TX,, born near Selma, Alabama 3 Feb 1825, went to California 1849, resided in that state and in Nevada up to his death which occurred in Virginia City, Nevada, and at his request he was embalmed and shipped to Texas to be buried by his mother, Catherine Morrison Woods Glass. He was the son of Edward and Catherine Woods, and brother of Colonel Ed Woods and .R. Woods. Am glad to share a considerable file on the WOODS family, originally from Alabama. I assusme that Thomas Byers Woods (unmarried) went to California in the Gold Rush of 1849. Any help is apapreciated.
