In Memory of
Mrs. Karen Kay Glass Ingargiola
1954 ~ 2004

It is my sad duty to report the death of a cousin, friend and fellow genealogist, Mrs. Karen Kay Glass Ingargiola. A long time supporter and contributor to the Cass County TXGenWeb Project, Kay and her daughter Kazia Jo Ingargiola Hodges spent many hours transcribing Cass County records. Their efforts will continue to be a resource to other researchers and a continual reminder to us of Kay's hard work and dedication to this project. What a wonderful legacy she leaves! Kay will be greatly missed. We would like to extend our condolences to her family and friends.

Karen Kay Glass Ingargiola, 49, of Atlanta, Texas, died Thursday, March 11, 2004, in Longview, Texas. Mrs. Ingargiola was born Nov. 11, 1954, in Gilmer, Texas. She was a schoolteacher at Atlanta High School and a member of the Cass County Genealogy Society and Winterfield Methodist Church, Longview, and a former member of First United Methodist Church, Daingerfield and Hughes Springs.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Paul Ingargiola; one daughter, Kazia Jo Ingargiola Hodges of Atlanta; one son, Joseph Van Ingargiola of Atlanta; her mother, Marjorie Ruth Carter Glass of Atlanta; three sisters, Jeanne Marie Glass Hunnicutt of Lewisville, Texas, Suzanne Glass Lerman of Dallas and Lynne Glass Clair of Katy, Texas; and two nieces, Jennifer Shaw and Courtney Cox.

Memorial services 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Daingerfield First United Methodist Church with the Revs. John Sewell and Jerry Goodale officiating under direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Condolences

Dana's on-line database with her family and other Cass County Collected families.  I can not stress how important it is to check this database for your Cass County relatives.  Most of my personal census & cemetery work goes into this database.  Because some of the names in this database are compiled from these records... a female may be listed under her married name if her maiden name was not known.
