Please remember your file MUST mention Cass County Texas to be included in our files. If they mention some other county I suggest you submit them here.

You can export family group sheets in PDF (Adobe Acrobat) format. PDF files include formatting and can be viewed or printed by anyone with the Adobe Acrobat Reader software.

About Report Exports
Can be viewed and printed (but not edited) by anyone with the Adobe Acrobat Reader software.

Use the PRIVATIZE feature in family tree maker to make sure you don't submit any living people! Instructions

How to export a group sheet:

1. Navigate to the report (group sheet) you wish to export. Click view then family group sheet. click on contents, title and footnote and make sure your contact information is listed in the preparer information. Your name and email address are required other information is optional. Remember, this will be accessible by anyone with internet access. Click on contents and items to include. Use the standard page setting ONLY.

2. When your group sheet is ready to submit: From the File menu, choose Export to PDF.

3. In the Export dialog box select the location and filename for your file. Remember where you put it so you can attach it to an email to send it to me.

4. Click the Save button.

5. write me an email and attach the file you saved to the email!

Using the PRIVATIZE feature

1. From the File menu, select Preferences, then Privatize (ALT, F, F, V).

Family Tree Maker displays the Privatize information dialog box.

2. Select the Privatize check box if you want Family Tree Maker to hide the Birth, Death, Marriage, More About Facts, Medical, and Notes information for living relatives.

3. Click OK.

Family Tree Maker displays a progress meter while it privatizes your Family File. It hides all data fields for living individuals and marks them with the word “private.” Only relationships between living individuals will be retained. As an added indication that you have selected to display privatized text, Family Tree Maker also changes the background color of the Family Page to green. Once selected as a preference, privatized text is enforced whenever you copy/export, print, or publish your Family File.

Note: When privatized, your file will become "read-only." This means you cannot modify the file in any way until you leave this mode. You can deselect the Privatized mode at any time in the original Family File by returning to the Preferences dialog box.

Now proceed with the export by following the instructions here.

Dana's on-line database with her family and other Cass County Collected families.  I can not stress how important it is to check this database for your Cass County relatives.  Most of my personal census & cemetery work goes into this database.  Because some of the names in this database are compiled from these records... a female may be listed under her married name if her maiden name was not known.
