Cass County was established in 1846 created from Bowie County. Was named Davis County from 1861-1871. Prior to 1824; neutral ground between French Louisiana and Spanish Mexico. 1824-1836 Pascal County Spanish regiment. We have our first submission! Thanks Asa! An act in April 3, 1861 appointed Isaac Clair the County Commissioner, under oath to run and make the county line between the county or Marion, Cass and Titus. His filed notes creating the line between Cass and Marion counties were filed May 28, 1861.
