I have some additional info. from:

Patillo, Pattillo, Pattullo and Pittillo Families, compiled by Melba C. Crosse,
Published by American Reference Publishing, Ft. Worth, Texas, copyrighted 1972, pg. 67, " Thomas Moody Kimbell was the first postmaster in this area. He was succeeded 6 Feb. 1852 by Lewis A. Pattillo who located the post office in his home, 'Hickory Hill.'" I can scan it to you if you would like it.

Lewis Alexander Pattillo is my grgrgrandfather.

Dana's on-line database with her family and other Cass County Collected families.  I can not stress how important it is to check this database for your Cass County relatives.  Most of my personal census & cemetery work goes into this database.  Because some of the names in this database are compiled from these records... a female may be listed under her married name if her maiden name was not known.
