Clara Barton Tent Membership

The mission of the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865 is to spread widely the teachings of patriotism, that those who dwell in this broad land of ours will so live that, in peace or in war, there shall be no stain on "The Flag Our Fathers Saved"...

Eligible for membership are all ladies who are lineal descendents of honorably discharged soldiers, sailors, and marines who served in the Union Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Revenue Cutter Service during the years of April 12, 1861-April 9, 1865, and can provide documented proof of their ancestor's services. This includes those who died or were killed during their term of service. Minimum age for membership is eight (8) years.

The membership committee of Clara Barton Tent #3 recruit their members from central Texas which encompasses Austin, San Antonio, and the "Hill Country", which includes those three counties, [Kerr, Kendall, and Gillespie], that did not want to join the confederate states. If you are interested in membership in our Tent, please contact, Kathryn Adam-Hurst our President or Peggy Munson our Tent Council/Secretary.
